Regimental Chapel Gates
The four Regimental Chapel Gates underwent complete surface restoration. The original paintwork was colour-matched and any damage restored, and the previous gilding which had suffered wear and dulling due to an ageing over-varnish was refreshed and re-gilded.
World War I Memorial
The centenary sculpture carved by the talented Nicholas Thompson on the east face of the Cathedral Tower was accented with gilded rays at the base.
Nicholas's winning design of a mother and child reflected the sacrifice and grieving of those involved in the conflict.
